AGC was established in Beirut in 1988. Since then AGC acquired a wide experience in the various construction fields. The two major partners: Farid Abou Fadel and Henri Helou have a solid backround in their field.
FARID ABOU FADEL a civil engineer (AUB graduate class 1979) has worked since then in the contracting business. He joined Sogex in Saudi Arabia and was area manager for Almabani until the establishment of AGC.
HENRI HELOU is an architect (B.Arch. Cornell University 1977, Master of Architecture A.A London 1981). He worked in Saudi Arabia, France and Canada as a contractor and a developer. After his return to Lebanon, he specialized in housing complexes.
AGC has executed several turnkey projects ranging from housing projects, to shopping malls, hospitals, renovation works, office buildings, roads and infrastructure works.
It is also important to mention that AGC acquired the ISO 9001:2000 certificate and will keep the ISO quality standard in all future contracts.
In July 2003, CHEIKH HAMAD BEN MOHAMED AL THANI together with AGC founded a general contracting firm in Doha-Qatar. “HBM-AFAK” is now operational and has offices located on the “C” Ring Road.
